Prep Teammates Embody Washington County Tradition

Not much has happened in Sandersville, Ga., since Gen. William T. Sherman's army marched through there on it's way to the sea in 1864. That is, at least, until Rick Tomberlin took over the Washington County High School football program a dozen years ago. In 12 years, Tomberlin has won a record number of games, including three state titles, and produced no less than 63 college scholarship players, four of whom went on to play in the NFL and two more who will sign with the Chippewas tomorrow.

Georgia Standouts Say Yes to CMU

Two of the best prep players on one of the best defenses in Georgia this year visited Central Michigan University this past weekend. Today those two defensive standouts are the newest members of the 2004 Chippewa football recruiting class.

Georgia Prep Teammates Visiting CMU

The Georgia talent pipeline to the Central Michigan University football program has been flowing smoothly in recent years. With football recruiting winding down for the 2004 class, the Chippewas once again are focusing on Georgia players. Two outstanding defensive prospects who were teammates on a record-setting Georgia high school team are visiting CMU this weekend.
