The nation's leading shot blocker and a two-time all-Conference USA selection who averaged a double-double this season for Southern Miss are among the finalists for the top male basketball player awards in Mississippi, the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum announced today.

Ole Miss Rallies For Win Over Marshall, 82-78

Marshall finally played at the level Head Coach Donnie Jones expected throughout the three games at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Fla. in the Glenn Wilkes Classic. After lack-luster efforts against good teams like Morgan State and Wisconsin-Green Bay, Marshall lead for much of the game before fading late. Ole Miss pulls out the win, 82-78, but not without a fight to the finish by the Herd.
