Riverdogs starter Jason Stephens seems to have been through it all. He was with the team in 2006 and putting up amazing numbers before having Tommy John surgery midway through the season. He was cruising then - in six starts he had posted a 1.80 ERA with a 4-1 record, five walks and thirty-four strikeouts - and now he's duplicating the same success in Charleston once again two years later.

Jason Stephens had Tommy John surgery last July. While he felt he was a bit ahead of schedule in his rehab at one point in the offseason, he says he's closer to the expected timeframe of returning within 12-18 months and he should be reaching an important milestone in his rehab next week.
