Traded to the Yankees prior to the 2007 season as the primary player in the Gary Sheffield deal, Humberto Sanchez hasn't exactly paid huge dividends to date, especially after he was released earlier this season. Now in the midst of a comeback in Pinstripes, he has started to turn a corner in the Trenton bullpen.

It hasn't been the easiest road for Humberto Sanchez since coming over to the Yankees. Once considered a top prospect initially, he's battled injuries and fought his way back, and rocketed through the organization and fell back down. His rollercoaster ride in Pinstripes has him trying to climb up back up and he says he's seeing progress.

Back before the season began there were some believing Humberto Sanchez could make his way back from Tommy John surgery in time to help make an impact at the big league level by season's end until a couple of setbacks derailed those estimations. Now back pitching on a mound, Sanchez is hoping to prove in the final week of the minor league season that it's better late than never.
