As part of a multiple story series, VandyMania.com begins taking a look at the 2008 Vanderbilt football team today as check out the wide receivers and tight ends. The Commodores open their 2008 season on August 28th when they visit Miami (Ohio).
The Vanderbilt Commodores conducted their first live scrimmage of their 2008 spring drills on Saturday morning. VandyMania's Stan Jones was there and filed this exclusive report.
"He's very athletic around the football," said Andrew Diomande's head coach Chris Merritt. "He is really a technician. He knows how to put his body in position where he is the only one that can catch the ball."

Andrew Diomande (pronounced DE O Monday), a wide receiver from Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, FL, has signed a national letter of intent with Clemson University. Diomande is the 25th member of Clemson's 2004 signees class.

It didn't take the Clemson Tigers long to fill the void left by Mike McIntosh as the coaching staff quickly moved in with an offer to Andrew Diomande. The talented receiver from Christopher Columbus High School will be the 25th member of the 2004 recruiting class.
