Syracuse fans were treated to an advance look at the future of the program on Saturday night, as both Paul Harris and Mike Jones were feature players in the 2006 Jordan Classic. The two combined to score 32 points for the Black team, but it wasn't enough to hold off Thaddeus Young (28 pts, 13 reb) and Sheron Collins (14 pts, 6 ast). The White team won the game 108-95 and controlled the game almost from start to finish.

Following the Jordan Classic's regional game with All-Metro lineups, four area players will be on the floor in the event's top game. New York's Paul Harris (Syracuse), Edgar Sosa (Louisville) and Curtis Kelly (UConn) and Duke-bound Brian Zoubek fron new Jersey will be in action.

The 2006 Roundball Classic, which started in 1965 in Pittsburgh, Pa., will be played on Sunday, April 9th in Chicago, Ill. at the United Center. Six players from New York & New Jersey will be in action. The game, which features four of the recruits from Scout.com's number two class, will be carried by CSTV (tape).

Next season's Syracuse Orange return four starters and several key bench players, but the real reason for optimism is the arrival of 6-4 wing Paul Harris. A dynamic do-it-all athlete, Harris will step foot on campus with more hype surrounding him than any recent freshman with the exception of Carmelo Anthony. Will he live up to this hype? It's hard to tell with the season so far away, but in the meantime, let's take a closer look at the type of game that Harris will bring to the Orange.
