Texas forward searching for consistency

The joke around the Houston Hoops is that they are a team of combo forwards. They have a number of players who are around 6-7 or 6-8 who can play both inside and outside. Last year Fendi Onobun was the best example of this type of player. This year the Hoops have several, including Darris Santee.

Darris Santee, a 6-foot-8 junior from Missouri City (TX) Ft. Bend Marshall said that he practices last-second shots, but they rarely go in during practice. However, Santee showed that practice makes perfect as his three-pointer at the buzzer after a loose ball scramble to lead the Buffaloes to a 70-67 thriller over Aldine in the championship game of the Texas division of the 2004 Academy National Invitational.
