Prep Showcase: Monarch versus Ralston Valley

Monarch was 10-1 last year, losing in the first round of the 4A state playoffs. They start the season ranked #1 in the <i>Denver Post</i> and #2 in the <i>Rocky Mountain News</i>. Ralston Valley was 11-1 last season, advancing to the quarterfinals of the 4A state playoffs. They start the season ranked #5 by the Post and #8 by the RMN. The two teams met Thursday night in NAAC stadium. There were a handful of D1 prospects littering the field. Here is the full recap of the action.

Colorado Holds One-Day Camp: Full Report

Approximately 80 players were in attendance this weekend at the University of Colorado one-day camp. Buffalo Sports News was on the spot to evaluate the talent, get pictures, and player interviews. In-State RB to Attend Elite Camp

When mentioning the top running backs in the state of Colorado, a name that needs to come up is <a href="http://scout.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=1164271">Nick Weber</a> from Monarch High School. As a Junior, Weber rushed for 1259 yards and 19 touchdowns, while earning a spot on the 2nd team all-Region team and Honorable Mention All-State. We caught up with Nick to get a status on the recruiting process.

Colorado Running Back Likes Five Early

<a href="http://scout.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=1164271">Nick Weber</a> was a second team all-conference and an honorable mention all-state selecttion last year after rushing for 1,259 yards and 19 touchdowns on 152 carries. He also had one touchdown receiving. He is currently getting mail from CU and Arizona State and has them in his top five. Nick plans on attending the CU camp this summer and tells us what he likes about the Buffs.
