Door Open for Former Wisconsin Badger

Timing is everything in life...and it's certainly no different in the NFL. And for former Wisconsin safety Michael Caputo, his timing might actually be perfect. Caputo comes into a situation in New Orleans where the Saints lost Rafael Bush to free agency and Vinnie Sunseri, was recently waived. Starters Jairus Byrd and Kenny Vaccaro's jobs are safe, as is 2nd round pick Vonn Bell, but don't bet against the feisty Badger joining the fray. Just ask LSU superstar running back Leonard Fournette.

Saints Free Agency: Big In-House Decisions

In recent years, the New Orleans Saints have made a habit of living in salary cap hell, forcing them to restructure contracts and waiving those who refuse to do so. It's an unfortunate necessary evil after spending many offseason robbing Peter in order to pay Paul. Somehow, the Saints always seem to find players on the free agent market. Keenan Lewis Hip Surgery Recovery Going Well

The New Orleans Saints have been absolutely decimated by injuries in the defensive secondary. Although safeties Rafael Bush and Vinnie Sunseri are out for the season, and Jairus Byrd hasn't seen a football field in almost a year, cornerback Keenan Lewis is the one this Saints team needs the most. Finally, the Who Dat Nation might be getting some good news...Lewis is already doing some light jogging just two weeks after hip surgery.

From the Couch to the Starting Lineup?

Ain't America great? Three days ago, Saints safety Kenny Phillips was sitting on his couch watching the NFL's Opening Weekend...just like the rest of us. And with the rash of injuries to Jairus Byrd, Vinnie Sunseri, and now Rafael Bush, the Saints picked up Phillips off the waiver wire just a week after cutting him. And guess what? He'll probably be in the starting lineup!

Saints Safety Injures Knee; Out Sunday

While the Saints suffered a big loss on Thursday, the Bucs might have gotten a great break. The Saints will be without safety Jairus Byrd for the remainder of the season after he was placed on injured reserve on Friday with a torn meniscus in his knee.
