Fine Pa. Lineman Pledges 'Cats

Northwestern continues to piece together one of the best recruiting classes in school history. Last night, 3-star, offensive lineman, <B>Kurt Mattes</B>, gave Wildcats head coach Randy Walker his verbal commitment. Mattes joins Thomas Bemenderfer and Ramon Diaz as Northwestern o-line verbal commitments.

Big man leaves Oakland impressed

Barring any unforeseen departures from recruits, Pittsburgh has received commitments from three offensive linemen. Of the three, it is highly unlikely any would fit the bill as an offensive tackle. The Panthers will lose "all everything" offensive tackle Rob Pettiti; they return Mike McGlynn and Dale Williams.
