In Nebraska's quest to fill up the 2004-2005 recruiting class, the Cornhuskers are looking for some help up the middle on defense. One individual who may be able to provide such help is Joe Blanks, a defensive tackle from Erie, PA. Blanks recently set up an official visit to the University of Nebraska and was asked what he was looking forward to.

The obvious damage from an injury is the pain, possible surgery, time out, and rehab as it relates to the injury. The stuff that people don't think about is the mental game of trusting that body part again in similar situations. Some get it faster than others. Fortunately, Joe Blanks is one of those people.

At 6'4" and 315 pounds, you don't have to look too far if you are looking for that big butt defensive lineman that can plug holes just by being there. Defensive tackle, Joe Blanks plans on being more than just "there" though. He plans on causing some damage along the way. With a finally healthy knee, Blanks is raring to go for his final year of high school ball in Pennsylvania.
