Redshirt freshman Demetri Stewart came to UM after graduating a semester early from Northeast High School last spring as a 17-year-old, 195-pound linebacker. Now that Stewart has been in the program for a little over a year, he is bigger, faster, and stronger.
Demetri Stewart is the first member of the 2005 signing class to arrive on campus. Stewart enrolled this semester and has been participating in spring practices. Today Stewart felt he had his best practice of the spring.
Demetri Stewart is already attending classes at the University of Miami this semester as a member of the 2005 signing class and was introduced to the media on Signing Day. Stewart is a linebacker from Northeast High School in Oakland Park, Fla.

Demetri Stewart entered his senior season as 16-year old linebacker that had never played linebacker before. Coaches from around the country offered him a scholarship and earlier today he announced which university he will be attending. His final three choices were Auburn, Miami, and Oklahoma.
