Brooks names game captains

The Wildcats went through their final on-field game preparations with a walk-through on Thursday, and Rich Brooks named Jermey Jarmon & Garry Williams as game captains, they will join Tony Dixon & Braxton Kelley for the pregame coin toss. Kentucky enters the game with the nation's 2nd longest non-conference win streak, 13 games. The last non-conference loss came in the 2006 season opener.

Kelley deserves huge Senior Day ovation

Kentucky has won 22 games, including two bowl games, the last three years. The Cats figure to go to a third straight bowl this year and still have a chance to win eight regular-season games. Braxton Kelley, who made the final tackle in last year's upset of eventual national champion LSU, plays his final regular season game at Commonwealth Stadium Saturday and deserves a huge ovation for his role.

UK Notebook--Micah Johnson to start, more

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Middle linebacker Micah Johnson, who has missed the last two games because of a high-ankle sprain, is expected to return to the starting lineup in Saturday's game vs. South Carolina, Coach Rich Brooks has announced. Johnson was injured in the first half of the game against Middle Tennessee State and has not played since. In that game he had nine tackles before halftime.
