But Anthony Scelfo started the game-winning rally by drawing a walk. Everett then bounced out pitcher-to-first, moving Scelfo into scoring position at second base. Lett walked McFadden intentionally to set up a force everywhere in the infield but with two out, Brad Emaus worked the count to 3-1 and then singled up the middle to score Scelfo with the run that gave the Wave the win at 6-5

Tulane Opens Season With 19-4 Win Over SLU

Offensively, the Green Wave was led by first baseman Tim Guidry, who went 4-for-7 and drove in 3 RBI with a pair of doubles. Shortstop Cat Everett, right fielder Warren McFadden, centerfielder Aja Barto, and designated hitter Jonny Weiss each had two hits. One of Barto's hits was a triple. As a team Tulane, had 18 hits in 41 at-bats.
