When the kick sailed through amidst a gale, nobody was going to discount the value of Jordan Congdon. Of course, any kicker would tell you, he's only as good as his last kick. Because of that the pressure is always on for that next kick that next game and it seems kickers never quite get their due. Congdon got a little today as he received the yellow jersey.

It's what a kicker dreams about. It's what they long for, but it's also a moment that they can just as much fear. When the time comes where you are the one that either wins the game or doesn't, that's the moment you have trained all your life to experience. Freshman kicker Jordan Congdon experienced that moment today against Kansas State, and he came through just like he and everyone else inside Memorial had hoped. In hindsight, though, for him, it's just any other kick.

I know the QB has a lot of pressure. And yes, I know the running backs, linemen and defensive players have pressure to. Try being a kicker, though. Everything they do is about pressure, because when they step on the field, there can't be any mistakes or they may not step on the field again. Well, Jordan Congdon is trying to get on that for the first time this year, but there's a race going on and according to Congdon himself, this one is going to the end.
