The inaugural and landmark fan festival brought the players, coaches and alumni of Stanford Football together with families from all over the Bay Area for four hours at Stanford Stadium. Day Five: Frosh LBs in Focus

There will always be gaps between our expectations, no matter how well informed our scouting and intel may be, on Signing Day and the realities for freshmen when they put on pads in their first preseason camp. Friday's practice helped demonstrated that the surprise strength of Stanford's 2007 freshmen are the linebackers. Confirmation came in talking with LBs coach Andy Buh afterward.

Spring Ball Primer

The Stanford Football roster has undergone a myriad of changes before spring practices start next Wednesday. Walk through the new-look defensive front seven, now that the Cardinal are running a 4-3 defense. Also who is out injured for the spring, who is making position switches and which man is slated to play both ways. It's a can't miss cornucopia of Cardinal notes before Spring Ball begins.

View from the Press Box: Oregon State

It started so well so quickly for the Cardinal: a stop by the defense followed by a 36-yard touchdown scamper by Anthony Kimble. It was all downhill afterward for both the Stanford offense and defense. The Cardinal could not stop OSU's Yvenson Bernard. Stanford threw deep numerous times but failed to connect against single coverage. T.C. Ostrander took some serious second-half punishment, to boot.
