Alex Daniels has found he's turned heads on and off the field and has found the potential many saw in him back when he was first spotted in 2004 at Marion-Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio as one of the countries top football prospects. The Big Ten Conference announced its Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week following the initial week of play in the 2006 college football season. Alex Daniels was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Week along with Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith.

Alex Daniels, a 6-foot-3 sophomore, played in 12 games, finishing with 14 tackles (10 solo) and a forced fumble as a true freshman this past season. Daniels joined Steve Davis and Dominic Jones as the only true freshmen to earn a letter. GoldenSports.Net recently caught up with Daniels to learn about his expectations for the season.
