WASHINGTON STATE senior center Kenny Alfred has earned second-team all-Pac-10 honors, the conference announced Tuesday. The recognition for Alfred is especially notable in light of the fact he was playing on the lowest-scoring Cougar offense in modern history. PULLMAN–Paul Wulff had high praise for his Cougars after the second practice session of the week yesterday. Foremost, perhaps, was crispness of the workout -- the Cougars looked light years better than they did in Tuesday's disappointing session. There were also a couple of noticeable personnel changes. On the offensive line, second-year freshman Tyson Pencer took some reps with the 1's, switching off with Steven Ayers at tackle.
