WITH TWO '08 receiver starters lost to graduation, plus starter James Rodgers to be limited during the spring session as he heals up from a collarbone injury, the new faces and competition at the X, flanker and slotback positions should be fierce starting on March 30. Casey Kjos are Jordan Bishop are just two of many compelling storylines to watch as spring ball draws ever closer.

Beavs getting geared up for ASU

CORVALLIS -- The first team units scrimmaged against each other about 10-12 snaps Wednesday and while much of the focus has been on the o-line and the return of Tavita Thompson this week, don't forget about the Oregon State defensive ends. Victor Butler kicked off the practice session with a "sack" of QB Lyle Moevao on the very first play.

Beaver D battles back, O's 2-min drill sings

CORVALLIS--A day off on Sunday for the Beavs looks to have been just the tonic. Several who sat out Saturday's session were padded up and back in action Monday -- Jeremy Francis, Slade Norris, Bryant Cornell, Aaron Nichols, Darrell Catchings and Casey Kjos all returned. OFFENSE: Fall camp status report

FALL CAMP ENTERS its 16th day and the Beavs will hold their 21st practice on Monday. It's a good time to step back and a detailed look at each position group, with a heavy emphasis on the nine sessions this past week, and to put it all into context as Oregon State approaches their season opener on Aug. 28 at Stanford.
