Venable homer wins it; Veras dynamite

Justin Germano is lights out but it is Will Venable who officially turns them off. Mike Ekstrom worked three scoreless to help propel the Missions. Nathan Culp gives up two unearned – causing his loss. Yefri Carvajal has been hitting – since May. Junior Veras pitches well in the AZL.

Edwin Moreno blows his first save and it is costly. Craig Cooper goes yard twice but the Missions lose. Ernesto Frieri is dominant for Lake Elsinore and Kellen Kulbacki goes deep again, Felix Carrasco has struggled since the All-Star break. Simon Castro makes an early exit.
