Pitching Gems in Rancho and Orem

Rancho starter Karl Gelinas collected his second career complete game in fine fashion with a four-hitter in the Cal League. Owlz pitchers gave up just three hits in 10 innings. In Arkansas, however, it was all offense in a game that featured nine home runs. Salt Lake was back to baseball - not beer league softball - thanks to Joe Saunders while Cedar Rapids couldn't get the key hit.

Pride keeps up amazing month

On a day when the Angels farm system got just one win, 37-year-old outfielder Curtis Pride continued his amazing month. Salt Lake and Arkansas each had a first round pick from 1999 on the field, while last year's top selection by the Angels earned his second straight victory in Orem.
