After struggling for 39:32 at the free throw line, when "the game was on" (to use one of coach Leonard Perry's favorite sayings) the Idaho Vandals sank 3 critical free throws in 4 attempts and pulled out a 61-58 win over Cal State Fullerton Saturday night in one of the most exciting games at the Cowan Spectrum this season. Senior guard <b>Tanoris Shepard</b> led Idaho with 12 pts, 5 assists.<br>

Vandals edge Riverside 56-54

True freshman <b>Jerod Haynes</b> (34 minutes, 6 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists) started at point guard for the Vandals in Thursday night's victory over UC Riverside at the Cowan Spectrum. Idaho climbed to a 4-2 Big West Conference mark and took sole possession of 3rd place in BWC standings.

Men's hoops continue to struggle

Although senior <b>Dandrick Jones'</b> outstanding effort yielded a career high 32 points on the night, Idaho tripped in Pocatello and dropped another close game, this time a 74-70 loss at the hands of Idaho State. Idaho has lost its last 3 games (to Washington State, Boise State, and now Idaho State) by a combined total of 8 points.
