Vanderbilt hosts Mississippi State Saturday and tries to get back on the winning side of the schedule. Last week Mississippi State lost to Auburn and gave up several rushing yards in the process. Vanderbilt opened the press conference and head coach Bobby Johnson greeted the media and then let loose with some disappointing news.

Big Plays on Defense Lead Dores to 4-0

The Vanderbilt Commodores improved to 4-0 Saturday night in Oxford with a 23-17 win over the Ole Miss Rebels despite being out gained on offense by 183 yards. The win puts the Commodores just two wins shy of being bowl eligible for the first time since 1982 with eight games left on the schedule.
