Little fingers and little toes not withstanding, the Dodgers knocked off San Diego for the fourth time in five starts by a 4-1 score. Clayton Kershaw worked a sparkling seven innings and Jamey Carroll, perhaps the story of the first seven weeks, drove in two runs.

Hiroki Kuroda bounced back from his worst outing of the season to strike out nine Diamondbacks in just over seven innings and the Dodgers won 6-3 to sweep the three-game series. Manny Ramirez's bases-loaded double in the seventh broke the game open and Andre Ethier added his 11th home run.
