Mike Koplove believes so much in his ability to pitch in the majors that he insisted on an out-clause in his minor league deal with the Phillies. Because of that clause, Koplove is now a free agent, but might have been able to help in Philly.

Koplove Comes Up; Mujica Back To Buffalo

The Indians moved a couple of right-handed relievers around the organization, changing the face of their bullpen. The team purchased the contract of veteran Mike Koplove from their Triple-A farm club in Buffalo. To make roster room, the Tribe optioned young Edward Mujica back to their International League farm team. Cleveland signed Koplove to a minor-league contract as a free agent on March 29.
