Costa Ready to Start Fall Camp

The dog days of summer find the Oregon Ducks in voluntary workouts but it is clear to see that the troops are getting antsy and ready to get back onto the practice field in preparation to defend their Pac-10 crown. Senior quarterback Nate Costa, is the natural leader of this group and took a few moments to answer some media questions.

Duck Duo Pac-10 Players of the Week

Two Oregon Ducks were named Pac-10 Player(s) of the Week today by the Pacific-10 Conference for performances in Oregon's 44-41 double-overtime win over Arizona in Tucson on Saturday night. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was tabbed for the offensive honors while back up quarterback Nate Costa was the special teams honoree.

Still Here and Still Trying

Eugene -- A year ago, Nate Costa was poised to take the reins of the Oregon offense as the starting quarterback. However before the season started Costa went down with a knee injury that knocked him out for the year. Knee injuries are always a concern but for Costa, this was the third on the same knee. Now a year later, Costa enters the season as a back up and some may wonder why does he do it.

EUGENE – Surgery on the left knee of University of Oregon quarterback Nate Costa surgery resulted in the repair of a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament as well as repairing cartilage damage, which is expected to prevent the return of the third-year quarterback this season.
