Every Cardinal player parent was pigskin-proud this past week as the Cardinal absolutely aced its semi-final exams in Los Angeles last weekend while dismantling "that think tank on Figueroa". No grade inflation here whatsoever - Dave Fowkes tells it like it is after one of the historic wins in school history. Now we need to maintain that superb GPA against California in the Big Game. A valiant effort in the second half wasn't enough to overcome a miserable opening-half melt-down as the Cardinal failed to execute and got down early, tossing the Gerhart-heavy game-plan out the window early in a frustrating 38-28 loss in Corvallis. The Bootleg's Andy Drukarev was on the scene at today's game and managed to suck it up and take in the post-game presser.
