NASHVILLE – Senior guard George Drake has decided to transfer for his fifth year of eligibility after graduating with a Vanderbilt degree in Sociology this past May.

Georgia smacks Vanderbilt, 85-73

ATHENS-- Levi Stukes scored a game-high 23 points to lead Georgia past Vanderbilt 85-73 Saturday afternoon at Stegeman Coliseum. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 10-5 overall and 2-1 in the SEC, while Vanderbilt drops to 11-6 on the season and 1-2 in conference play.

Vanderbilt holds off Rice, 74-69

HOUSTON-- Vanderbilt raced out to a 45-27 halftime lead and then withstood a furious second half Rice rally to win its tenth game of the season, 74-69. The victory was Vanderbilt's ninth in the last 10 games after a 1-3 start. Vanderbilt's Shan Foster scored 29 points, including 26 points in the first half.

Vanderbilt rallies past Lipscomb, 59-50

NASHVILLE-- Vanderbilt had not lost to Lipscomb since 1951 and on Thursday night Vanderbilt continued that dominance with a hard-fought 59-50 win over the Bison. Derrick Byars scored 18 and Ross Neltner added 13 as the Commodores rallied from a 27-21 halftime deficit and inched above .500 for the first time in the 2006-07 season.

NASHVILLE-- The Vanderbilt Commodores withstood a furious second half rally by Northern State (South Dakota) before picking up a 98-94 exhibition victory. Vanderbilt, which debuted the playing careers of several players, built a huge lead before watching the margin dwindle to just one with seconds remaining.
