Last season, the Oakland A's had only three minor leaguers reach the 20-homer plateau, Tom Everidge, Jason Perry and Jose Pineda. With Perry and Pineda no longer in the organization, it appeared that the A's might have a power shortage in their system in 2008. That has turned out not to be the case. Rich Harden made his first appearance in the California League since 2002 as he pitched six scoreless innings Tuesday night against his former team, the Visalia Oaks. The Stockton Ports' offense stole the headlines with a 14-run outburst, but Harden set the tone with a sharp performance in what should be his final minor league rehab outing.
