The New Orleans Saints injury situation at linebacker has gotten so comical that if it didn't hurt so much, you'd have to laugh. Last week in an unexpected loss, the depleted unit was exposed by Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota. Once again, three key members of Joe Vitt's crew will be sitting today against Kirk Cousins & the Washington Redskins. However, there is hope that one LB who sat last week could be back in the lineup, as well as a couple other very important players.

The last time linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar faced the Giants in the Superdome, the Saints smashed the G-Men 49-24 en route to a 13-3 season. That was four years ago. But after 3 1/2 seasons playing for the St. Louis Rams, Dunbar was signed yesterday to help shore up a Saints linebacking group which is suddenly in major injury crisis mode. Former New Orleans Saints linebacker Ramon Humber has been suspended by the NFL for the first three games of the season, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Humber, 24, is a free agent who recorded 21 tackles and a sack last season in 13 games with three starts for the Saints.
