Practice Report: Thursday

The Ole Miss Rebels worked for a little under two hours today in full pads with controlled contact, wrapping up the open week practices. Coach Ed Orgeron will let the team off for three days to rest up for the stretch run of Arkansas, LSU and Mississippi State.

Bama survives - barely

OXFORD - It wasn't exactly the ending that Rebel fans were hoping for. Alabama kicker Jamie Christensen kicked a game-winning, 31-yard field goal as time expired, and the Crimson Tide squeezed past the Ole Miss Rebels 13-10 in front of a sun-drenched crowd of 60,135 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

After Ole Miss' tale-of-two-halfs 27-7 victory over The Citadel, the Rebels who were asked to "meet the press" had two general thoughts - it was good to get a win after three straight losses, but some major improvements must be made before ranked Alabama rolls into town next weekend.
