Spartans Bowl Hopes Cloudy After Loss

With just three games left including next week's Backyard Brawl against Michigan, at Purdue and vs. Penn State, the Spartans need at least one win to become bowl eligible and likely two to distinguish themselves from the pack and claim one of seven bowl bids available to the conference.

Williams should step into a starting role and could put up surprising numbers. With teams aware of the running threat Michigan State will bring each week, Williams should be able to use his speed to blaze past safeties cheating up to stop the run, giving the Spartans a valuable big play threat.

Fork Union's T.J. Williams Newest Spartan

Williams, who has already signed a letter of intent, had originally had committed to Clemson last Febuary but could not enroll because of grades. However, as late as December, he stated he was still strongly committed to Clemson before signing with Michigan State.
