You had to figure there would be plenty of turnover on New York's roster with this being new GM Jerry Reese's first season at the helm. That was exactly the case as there were plenty of familiar faces but also a host of new ones, including all eight draft picks, on the season-opening roster Big Blue took to Dallas.

Giants special team ace David Tyree will be sidelined for at least the next month with a fractured wrist. Tyree underwent surgery on Monday to repair a broken bone in his left wrist. Tyree, a Pro Bowl special teams player in 2005, likely will be sidelined four to six weeks.

Robert Douglas is in a one-horse race – and he's doing quite well, thank you very much. Douglas, the first-year man from Memphis, ascended to the starting fullback throne once Jim Finn was lost for the season and he's done nothing since to force the Giants to look elsewhere. He said he figured the Giants would bring in outside help.
