TAMPA, FL - Christian Garcia is one the most talented pitchers in the farm system and yet he has also been one to miss a ton of time with injuries over the last few years. Looking very sharp in camp thus far this season, his main plan of attack this Spring is to build up his arm strength by going back to the old 'number one'.

The New York Yankees selected Christian Garcia in the third round of the 2004 MLB Draft out of Gulliver Prep High School. Mostly battling injuries since that time, he was finally back on the mound and pitching well in Double-A last year when once again an injury derailed his season.

Considering he entered the season with just fourteen starts in his previous two years and missed pretty much all of Spring Training this year, it's been remarkable that Christian Garcia has gotten off to such a strong start with the Trenton Thunder this season. What's even more amazing, however, is many feel his 0.60 ERA is just the tip of the iceberg.
