For the second time in three years, the Jaguars traded away their fourth-round draft pick. After looking at some of the luck that they've had in round four, they may opt to trade away the pick in 2009 as well.
The Jaguars trimmed their roster today by waiving five young players to secure room for their five draft choices, and thus getting down to 75 players currently under contract. The five players waived were long-snapper Brett Goode, offensive lineman Ryan Gibbons, defensive end Brian Smith, tight end Isaac Smoko, and wide receiver Craphonso Thorpe.
There are a few selections from last year's draft that could turn into stars, or may never play a single down in an actual game. We are going to examine what chances those players have of making an impact for the team.
