On a day where a San Francisco newspaper spelled out the communications issues that surrounded Ken Macha's tenure as the Oakland A's manager, the A's announced that they were firing their skipper in the clearest way possible: a press release.
And so ends the Ken Macha era of Oakland A's baseball.

ANAHEIM - Like the TNT Network, the Oakland A's and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim know drama. In their most recent series (the winner of which was guaranteed a spot atop the AL West) the winning team scored three runs in all three games.
The A's record is now 1-6 this spring, after a 10-3 loss to the Texas Rangers on Wednesday, but there isn't panic in A's land.
