John Nance, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound wide receiver/quarterback from St. Paul (MN) Cretin Derham Hall, has become the latest Minnesota product to commit to the Gophers. Nance helped lead to a 10-1 mark and runner-up finish in Section 4, Class AAAAA last year. Nance is the sixth in-state player to commit to Minnesota.

Reggie Rock, a 5-foot-10 quarterback/defensive back from St. Paul (MN) Cretin-Derham Hall, entered the 2004 season with a scholarship offer from Minnesota. However, things did not goe as a expected this past year for Rock, who is headed to Wayne (PA) Valley Forge Military Academy, according to Cretin co-head coach Mike Scanlan.
