Excluding plays that sent him to the foul line, Duquesne alum Aaron Jackson didn't take a shot in 26 minutes of action Monday night while his Canadian Solar Bologna team got its first quarterfinal playoff win, 89-78, over visiting NGC Medical Cantù in the friendlier confines of Futurshow Station.

Duquesne alum Aaron Jackson's 17 points weren't enough as Canadian Solar Bologna dropped its second straight playoff game, 74-68, at NGC Pallacanestro Cantù early Saturday night in the best-of-five Italian Basketball League Serie A playoffs. Bologna returns home for Monday's must-win game three.

Duquesne's Aaron Jackson, after just his second game in the Italian Basketball League, was named this week's Most Valuable Player. He totaled 17 points on 6-for-8 shooting--a perfect 5-for-5 on two-pointers--and had 11 assists, eight rebounds and three steals in Sunday's final regular season match. Next up, the playoffs.

Duquesne University alum Aaron Jackson's first professional season didn't end when Antalya's Turkish Basketball League schedule was over. Last week, the 2009 Atlantic 10 Conference first teamer signed with Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna of the Italian Basketball League.
