Julian Smith Finally Arrives in Iowa City

The long awaited arrival of Julian Smith finally occurred Tuesday afternoon as the six-foot-three, 220-pound linebacker made the drive from Canton, Michigan with his father, Keith. Smith, who spent the last year at Milford Academy, will enroll in classes next week, as well, as participate in spring drills. Smith will be counted on to contribute in some form during the 2006 season. Scout.com's Josh Clark caught up with Smith as he made his arrival to Iowa City, and offers this report...

Greene Earns Test Score, Officially a Hawkeye

Arguably the best Iowa recruiting class in history got a little better over the weekend, as Milford Prep running back Shonn Greene learned that he received a qualifying score on his SAT. Milford Prep Update: Shonn Greene & Julian Smith

With the unknown academic status of Shonn Greene and watching Iowa no longer recruit Ken Tinney, some may have thought Iowa no longer would use a connection with Milford Academy. That is not the case, though, as Greene could still be a part of the Class of 2005, and Iowa has put themselves in position to add a Milford member to their Class of 2006.
