WR Jimmy Thompson Transfers to South Dakota

Jimmy Thompson, a redshirt freshman wide receiver from Hayward (WI) High who recently left the Minnesota Gopher football team, has transferred to South Dakota. Thompson redshirted his freshman year and did not have a catch this season as he played in just four games on special teams. Redshirt freshman Shane Potter, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound safety, is going to transfer from the football program, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Potter missed most of his senior season with a torn ACL suffered in the season opener. Potter helped lead the Bulldogs to the Class AAA title with a 28-0 win over Albany in the Prep Bowl as Becker finished 14-0 his junior year.

Potter helped lead the Bulldogs to the Class AAA title with a 28-0 win over Albany in the Prep Bowl as Becker finished 14-0. Potter is considered one of the top seniors in the state.

Becker WR Shane Potter Commits to Minnesota

Shane Potter, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound junior wide receiver from Becker (MN) High, has committed to Minnesota, according to sources close to his recruitment. Potter helped lead the Bulldogs to the Class AAA title with a 28-0 win over Albany in the Prep Bowl, giving Dwight Lundeen, in his 37th year as Becker head coach, his first state title after four previous second-place finishes. Becker finish 14-0. Potter is considered one of the top juniors in the state.

MN Junior Shane Potter Gets Midwest Interest

Shane Potter, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound junior wide receiver from Becker (MN) High, caught seven passes for 147 yards with one touchdown to lead the Bulldogs to a 21-3 win over Glencoe-Silver Lake Friday in the semifinals of the Class AAA football tournament. They will advance to next Friday's Prep Bowl.
