Vandal coaches and players picked their 2005 team award recipients, and among them was TRACY FORD who was named the Hec Edmondson Most Inspirational Player (as voted by his teammates) for 2005. Congratulations to all of Idaho's award winners.

D.J. Is NFL Bound!

Ranked 12th in Division 1A in receiving yards-per-game (2005) and Idaho's all-time single-game record holder for receiving yards (269), Second Team All-WAC wide receiver D.J. Smith will forego his senior season and declare for the NFL draft.

Snyder, Barrow and Smith earn All-WAC Honors

For the second year in a row, middle linebacker Cole Snyder earned First Team All Conference honors, including this year as a First Team All WAC selection. Statistically one of the most productive linebackers in America the last two seasons, the former walkon from Kamiah made the absolute most of his Idaho career. Two juniors were also named to the two-deep roster, with kicker/punter Mike Barrow also earning First Team honors while wide receiver D.J. Smith was named to the Second Team.

Vandals Triumph in Las Cruces

In a game fitting for a Halloween weekend, and a night where the Vandals put up 582 yards of total offense, Idaho (2-3 WAC, 2-6) prevailed 38-37 Saturday night over New Mexico State (0-4 WAC, 0-8) in double-overtime on a gutsy two-point conversion.
