Salutes the Seniors

This Saturday, fourteen seniors will take the field for the last time in their playing career at Idaho, as the Vandals take on Utah State at 12:30 PM (PST) in the Kibbie Dome. The senior class includes five on offense and nine on defense. It is unlikely any class has seen so much transition at Idaho, and inside is our salute to a fantastic group of dedicated athletes.

2 Minute Drill with "Sledge"

In this exclusive interview, we talk to Idaho middle linebacker JO ARTIS RATTI, known as "Sledge" by the Vandal faithful because of his tenacious style of play. Asked why he chose to change his jersey to number one, he told us, "...I want everybody to play as one, as one force...I want that to symbolize our defense." We also talked about his goals this year, his coach, and what's in his iPod.

Vandals come up big in Logan (Photo Gallery)

After giving up 14 first quarter points to a Utah State team that previously hadn't scored a TD all year, the Vandals rolled with 41 unanswered points for most of the next three quarters to come away with a 41-21 road win in Logan. The win was sparked by CB Stanley Franks' 98 yard interception return, and was capped off by a 74 yard JO-ARTIS RATTI fumble return. Inside are images from the game.

Second Half Gallery: Idaho vs. OSU

Despite a brutal showing by the Idaho offense in the first half (Idaho was unable to run or pass) and 4 Idaho turnovers, the defense limited OSU to just 17 points. In the second half Idaho's D yielded 21 more points, and the offense never scored. Junior quarterback BRIAN NOOY stepped in part way through the second quarter, but still could not lead Idaho to the endzone.
