SEATTLE - Doug Farrar, NFL Analyst for Yahoo Sports, happened to ask Pete Carroll a question the week after Washington defeated Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl this past December. From 0-12 to a Holiday Bowl win, what does this say about Steve Sarkisian, queried Farrar. Carroll, now with the Seattle Seahawks, was clear in his praise about Sarkisian, his former offensive coordinator at USC.

The San Diego Chargers, trading up with San Francisco, took Washington linebacker Donald Butler with the 79th pick in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft Friday in New York, and his teammate went seven picks later. Butler, a 6-foot-1, 245-pound inside 'backer from Sacramento, Calif., started 27 games for the Huskies in his career, and 42 overall.

If you've ever been to a Steve Sarkisian practice then you know you'd better keep your head on a swivel, or you're liable to get run over. They run everywhere and change fields so much that they actually accomplish some conditioning by running back and forth between Husky Stadium and the east field.

Washington hasn't played host to a lot of NFL scouts over the past few seasons, but this year LB Donald Butler piqued the interest of several clubs with his Senior Bowl and Combine performances, so they descended on Montlake Wednesday morning to get a look at how the senior linebacker ran and got to see several other former Huskies as well...
