Can the NFC South Challenge the Panthers?

The Carolina Panthers have dominated the NFC South the past three seasons with three division titles and a divisional record of 14-3. We take a look at the other three teams in the division and why they will and why they won't challenge the Panthers in 2016.

Saints Strike Buckeye Gold!

With their 2nd round pick, the New Orleans Saints decided to give Drew Brees a new present in Ohio State wide receiver Michael Thomas. As Keyshawn Johnson's nephew, Thomas has great lineage, as well as great production for a run-happy Buckeye program. In his last two seasons in Columbus, Thomas collected 110 receptions, 18 touchdowns and 1,600 yards. More quick than fast, he also gives Brees a nice 6-foot-3 target & should be a starter by the end of year one. GREAT PICK!

Sterling Shepard Has the "It" Factor

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was excited to get big target tight end Coby Fleener during the free agency period. But with his old battery mate Marques Colston no longer on the team, I'm sure Brees would love to get another receiver on the outside during the NFL Draft, perhaps as early as tonight in Rounds 2 or 3. Although Ohio State's Braxton Miller has an array of intriguing talents, my pick would be the more polished Oklahoma Sooner Sterling Shepard. And here's why...

Saints Free Agency: Veteran Receiver Needed

When it comes to the New Orleans Saints and free agency in recent years, management has pulled more rabbits out of hats than a cheap magician at Six Flags. But with Marques Colston no longer on the roster, the Saints main 3 wide receivers, Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead & Brandon Coleman have a total of only 4 years in the NFL. But after researching every single wideout free agent in the league, I've come up with five candidates who I wouldn't mind seeing wear the Black & Gold.

Tip of the Cap to Saints Villain

Whether you love Roddy White or hate him, and almost everyone in New Orleans prefers the latter emotion, the controversial receiver was always a worthy adversary to the Saints. The 11-year veteran, who loved playing the villain, was released yesterday by the Atlanta Falcons. In a decade-long rivalry with the Who Dat Nation, White has always been a colorful nemesis to the calm, cool Marques Colston. And how ironic that the two franchise's all-time leading receivers were both cut in the same week.

A Touch of Class

Even though it's a day that everyone in the Who Dat Nation saw coming, it doesn't make it any easier. With sincere apologies to Joe Horn, Eric Martin and Danny Abramowicz, the best wide receiver in New Orleans Saints history is Marques Colston. The former 7th round pick from Hofstra, a college so immune to having NFL alumni, they no longer even field a football team. Here's a fitting tribute to "The Quiet Storm", a man who personified class, respect and humility...
