The University of Pittsburgh has added a pair of outstanding quarterback prospects to their recruiting class of 2006. One of them, Dexter Davidson (6-ft-4 inches, 215 pounds) from North Broward Prep School in Coconut Creek, FL, is considered one of the top signal callers in the south. Quarterback Kevan Smith (6-ft-3 inches, 225 pounds) from Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, PA was one of the first players to join the Panthers' stellar 2006 recruiting class. Smith, known for his powerful arm, is set to visit the University of Pittsburgh this weekend. Scout.com recently spoke with Kevan about his future and up coming visit.

Many recruiting observers felt that the arrival of Dave Wannstedt to the Big East would change the national recruiting landscape. With his NFL ties, his connections to Florida and a tremendous home talent base, the sky was allegedy the roof for Wannstedt and his new staff.
The University of Pittsburgh is in need of quarterbacks, so to no one's surprise they have secured a verbal pledge from another quarterback for the class of 2006. The Panthers have already secured a pledge from promising signal caller Kevan Smith now they add to the mix a quarterback from the "Sunshine State".
