North Too Much for South

Portland, Ore. -- The 2006 Les Schwab Bowl was played on Friday night in front of 7,530 fans but if any were there to see a close game they went home disappointed. It was a blow out as the North squad won in a rout, 49-25. Leading the way for the North squad was game MVP Kevin Riley of Beaverton.

Gets offer he's been looking for

Cody Kempt got a call from a college last night, and it was a school he's been waiting to hear from. The 6-foot-3, 205 pound quarterback from Westview High School in Portland, Oregon (a Scout.com three-star prospect) now has a chance to play in the Pac-10 if he wants to. But he's still checking out all his options.

Westview QB back from camp circuit

For Cody Kempt, going to Washington State for his team camp was going to be killing the proverbial two birds with one stone. Not only would he be able to lead his Westview team in a Pac-10 environment, but he would also be able to catch the eye of the Cougar coaches. He did that, and then some - but for the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder from Portland, the news after his MVP performance couldn't have been much worse.
