2010 PREVIEW: Vandal 'backers standing tall

LED BY FOURTH YEAR STARTER, senior strongside linebacker JOSEPH "JOJO" DICKSON (6-2, 235), the Vandals return a loaded linebacking unit for the 2010 season. Unlike at anytime in the last five years, the Vandals go 2-deep across the board with extensive game-time experience, plus they return four of Idaho's top eight tacklers from a year ago, including the top tacklers at SAM, MIKE, and WILL.

Wraps up spring, sets sights on '09

Mead (Spokane) High School standout linebacker PAUL SENESCALL signed with the Vandals in the spring of 2006 as part of then-head coach Nick Holt's third recruiting class. A First Team All-State selection (by AP, The Seattle Times, and The Tacoma News Tribune) and MVP of the Greater Spokane League, the 6-1, 225 pounder now finds himself battling for a starting job at linebacker for the Vandals.

LB Paul Senescall: Mead's Field General

The second player to commit to Idaho (making his commitment public late last summer), future Vandal linebacker Paul Senescall had a dominant high school career, culminating by being named a First Team All-State selection (by AP, the Seattle Times, and the Tacoma News Tribune) and MVP of the Greater Spokane League. He's also won wrestling titles in districts and regionals in the 215 pound weight classification, and has had his eyes on the Vandal program for years.
