J.D. Closser slugged a grand slam and drove in five as Albuquerque (47-44) ran over New Orleans 12-3. Inland Empire earned a 6-4 victory over Rancho Cucamonga with a two-run home run by Scott Van Slyke breaking a 4-4 tie. Great Lakes closer Cole St. Clair put out a ninth-inning fire for the second night in a row in a 7-5 win over Wisconsin. Chattanooga and Carolina were postponed by wet grounds.
