In terms of big-time offers, CU's lone wide receiver commitment in the 2006 class, Sherman Lang, claims more than any other player in this class. Before becoming a Buff, he could have went to Auburn, West Virgina, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, or Mississippi. He was committed to being a Mountaineer, but after a weekend trip to Boulder, he committed to the Buffs. The Buffalo Sports News reported this in one of our CHAT sessions before it became public. Lang tells us why he opted for CU.

A position switch may have caused Sherman Lang to fall off some teams' recruiting lists, but the wide receiver prospect doesn't regret the decision at all. Neither does West Virginia, which hung in with the talented Floridian and was rewarded with a commitment this weekend.
