St. Augustine High School has been among the top programs in the south. The Yellow Jackets have recorded an impressive 66-10 record over the past six seasons, including a perfect 15-0 mark and the school's first state championship in 2005. Brothers share a common bond like no other, a bond of strength and support that can push them to their outer limits of sacrifice and competition. The Florida Gators tapped into some brotherly synergy in the recruiting class of 2006 by signing Brandon James and Jacques Rickerson, the dynamic duo that helped lead St. Augustine on an unbeaten run to the state 3A championship. After the kind of high school season that most kids can only dream of, St. Augustine's Jacques Rickerson has his sights set on the next level. ST. AUGUSTINE --- When it comes to character, Coach Urban Meyer considers it one of the cornerstones or recruiting. He talks about kids who are that one percent of the one percent, a label that seems to perfectly fit Jacques Rickerson and Brandon James of St. Augustine.

Jacques Rickerson is probably the highest rated cornerback on the Gators recruiting board. On Saturday night he became the highest rated cornerback commitment for the Gators. The 5-10, 180 pound speed demon from St. Augustine was in attendance for the blowout win over rival Florida State on Saturday night and afterwards gave Coach Urban Meyer the great news.
